Five must-see TV highlights for the week ahead


The Great British Bake Off is back this week but on a new channel and with a new presenting line-up, then on Friday there are men's World Cup qualifiers and this week also sees the latest Game of Thrones series become available to download.

The Great British Bake Off – Tuesday at 8pm on Channel 4

Paul Hollywood is in the tent to dispense his crushing quips, but everyone else on this year's Bake Off is new to the show. Early reviews have been positive so tune in to pass your own verdict. Let's hope the new recruits rise to the challenge!

Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls - Tuesday at 9:15pm on Channel 4

There are no A-listers here but the brutal challenge of living on a remote island makes for dramatic TV regardless of the participants' previous notoriety. There's no I'm A Celeb hi-jinx around here!

Game of Thrones Season 7 on TalkTalk TV Store

You may be a hardcore fan who wants to re-watch the series that's just ended or a newbie caught up in the epic Westeros saga for the first time, either way you can download and then watch the penultimate series' eight episodes as many times as you wish.
