Nordstrom is selling fake muddy jeans for an absolute fortune, $425 (£330) to be exact.

Yes, that's right, they're fake mud jeans. They are exactly like they sound - jeans covered up in fake mud or dirt.

They're called the Barracuda Straight Leg Jeans.

These are basically the new ripped jeans but probably more luxurious because they're being sold for a huge amount.

On the Nordstrom website they are described as: "Heavily distressed medium-blue denim jeans in a comfortable straight-leg fit embody rugged, Americana workwear that's seen some hard-working action with a crackled, caked-on muddy coating that shows you're not afraid to get down and dirty."

There are some bizarre fashion trends around but we definitely didn't expect fake muddy jeans!

People have taken to social media to weigh in on the strange trend

One tweeted: "Who on earth goes out and buys a 500$ pair of fake mud jeans from Nordstrom when you can get a cheap pair and drag them through the mud?"

JadedByPolitics added: "Anyone who feels the need to buy @Nordstrom mud jeans for $425 buy a cheap pair of jeans and I'll throw you in the mud for free."
