Boy with skin condition meets dog with same disease

Carter Blanchard's mother says for a while, her son didn't want to go to school, ashamed of his rare skin disease.

But everything changed when Carter and his mum flew more than 2,000 miles to meet Rowdy, a dog with the same condition.

They were both diagnosed in August 2015 with vitiligo, a harmless auto-immune disease that causes a lack of pigment in certain areas of the skin.
