Meteor lights up the sky in Wisconsin



A meteor was spotted in the skies above Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana early on Monday, February 6.

Facebook posts from National Weather Service branches in Wisconsin and Illinois said that they received multiple reports of a meteor sighting.

One post from Billy Giv said, "I work at O'Hare and It was almost directly overhead the airport streaking north. Very very bright and green and you could actually see it breaking apart."

Video from Lisle Police Department shows the meteor at about 1.25 am.
