Pilot arrested for passing out drunk in cockpit

A Canadian airline pilot who passed out in the cockpit has been charged with being drunk on the job.

Sunwing Airline pilot Captain Miroslav Gronych was reportedly 'behaving oddly before he became unconscious in the cockpit'.

According to police initial tests found that he was well over the legal limit.

Sunwing posted an apology to their Facebook page on Saturday describing the incident and emphasizing to it's customers 'that safety remains our utmost priority'.

The flight apparently took off shortly after the incident with a new pilot.
