You might think getting on the Tube in London at rush hour is a bit of a mare, but consider yourself lucky you don't have to commute in Japan.

As crowds descend on the Tokyo subway during rush hour, these clips illustrate just how stressful it can be to get a place on the train.

Italian photographer Marco Patella captured this video of the chaotic scene.

The first passenger shown doesn't even seem to react as the subway pushers on duty shove him into the train.

Even when the doors are almost shut it seems like he's not making an conscious effort to keep his belongings inside the train.
