How to earn over £3,500 before Christmas

Scraping cash together at the end of the month is tough at the best of times but what about when it's December and it's not just bills you need to pay but Christmas lands right in the final week!

We all have the best of intentions when it comes to saving up for the festive season but it doesn't always go to plan.

Not only are there presents to buy, trees to decorate and Christmas parties to attend but a whole host of other things that come hand in hand with the end of the year.

Magic Freebies UK have come up with an answer on how you can get cash quickly, and it's not as tricky or risky as you may think: you could end up with more than £1,000 before the end of the year.

1. Sell an old phone
You could put your old iPhone 2g or Nokia 3310 on eBay and potentially get more than £100.

2. Open a new current account
Plenty of banks (Halifax, TSB or First Direct) offer rewards schemes when you open an account, which could mean credit of £100.

3. Drive for Uber
Like spending time behind the wheel? If you can face ferrying people to and fro from their festive fun then you could be looking at potential earnings of £960. This is based on taking £15 per hour on a 16 hours per week contract for a month.

4. Deliver food with Deliveroo
Similar to driving for Uber, working for a delivery company can be a real earner, and everyone knows that ordering in is all you can face after a big night at the office party, so its popularity booms at this time of year. You could be pocketing a whopping £640. This is based on you earning £7 per hour plus £1 based on three deliveries an hour on a 16 hours per week contract for a month.

5. Take part in surveys
Take a seat, sit back, relax and click your way to a nice little earner. You could earn £50 per survey - although usually it's much less.

6. Check out cashback introduction deals
If you're a savvy shopper this is ideal for you. Make a little extra through cashback with potential earnings of £32 (Topcashback Thorntons Bundle - £15 plus Quidco Pie Face game £17).
