Queen and duchesses in glittering finery for Diplomatic Corps reception

The Royal Family were dressed to impress as they welcomed more than 1,000 guests to the annual white tie Diplomatic Corps reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen wore a white Angela Kelly dress, a sapphire and diamond tiara and a sapphire necklace and earrings, believed to be from the George VI sapphire collection.

The Duchess of Cornwall, who missed the event last year due to neck and shoulder pain, was dressed in a white, beaded Bruce Oldfield gown, which she accessorised with a Boucheron tiara, pearl choker and diamond earrings. She wore The Royal Family Order and Dame Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order.

Proving once again that she has no problem recycling a favourite look, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a red Jenny Packham gown that she previously donned during the state visit of Chinese president Xi Jinping.

The Duchess completed her outfit with the Cambridge Lover's Knot tiara, which she was pictured wearing for the first time at the same event last year. The diamond and pearl tiara was a wedding gift to the Duke of Cambridge's late mother Diana and was one of her favourites.

The Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Cambridge all wore the Order of the Garter with the Garter sash and knee breeches.
