Mysterious mannequin in toilet sculpture left on Oxfordshire roundabout

A mysterious sculpture showing a mannequin placed head first into a toilet has been placed on an Oxfordshire roundabout.

Motorists have been left scratching their heads as the piece appeared on a roundabout in Playhatch - an area that seems to be the home of an anonymous artist who has displayed random items in public there before.

The latest work has been surrounded by police tape, and previous work to have appeared on the Playhatch Roundabout on the A4155 Reading to Henley include a tent, washing line and fold out chair back in November 2015, and a red Google Maps pin in April 2014, reports Get Reading.

The BBC reports that other mysterious objects have also appeared at other spots in the town.

In August, a black door was hung on a buttress of the Sonning Bridge in Berkshire. In September 2013, a red letter box was also hung on the same spot of the bridge.

And, in April, a sign warning drivers of a humpback bridge along Playhatch Road was turned into an image that looked like a woman's breast with the word 'Phwoar' written underneath.
