Have airline safety videos gone too far?

Some airlines have turned dull safety videos into big-budget productions to grab passengers' attention.

There have been dance routines, singalongs and even a medieval battlefield scenario from Air New Zealand.

But research shows that viewers may remember the sizzle, but not the safety tips.

Many frequent fliers have also said that they are growing tired of the corny humour used in many of the more quirky safety videos.
