Solo holidays are hotter than ever, with more and more travellers opting to travel alone so they can visit a holiday destination they have always dreamed of seeing, indulge in a special interest such as yoga and cooking, or make new friendships with like-minded people.

More than a third of British travellers take singles holidays and travel companies are seeing a surge in demand, forcing them to add more trips for customers. In fact, solo travel is so popular that even married couples are at it!

But where exactly do people go on their travels alone? We wanted to know where our readers have ventured and, just as we thought, you guys are as adventurous as us.
