The first ever New Forest Food & Drink Festival Week takes place this autumn, from 31 October to 6 November, and to celebrate we're giving away a break for two in the New Forest.

One of the UK's best-kept foodie secrets, the New Forest is set to share its amazing food and drink and celebrate its farmers, bakers, brewers, chocolatiers, fishermen, foragers and chefs.

The winner will receive a pair of tickets to the festival and an overnight stay at Balmer Lawn in the New Forest on Wednesday 2 November for the hotel's Glorious Game & Roaring Fires festival headline event.

The Game & Wine Night at Beresford's Restaurant, in Balmer Lawn, features a stunning seven-course tasting menu representing the best of The New Forest. Expect duck, pheasant and venison dishes, alongside local cheese and foraged mushrooms. The gala evening begins with a reception drink and will include different wines to accompany each course, all introduced and explained by General Manager Michael Clitheroe and Tomek Mikulin from Enotria Wines. Live music comes courtesy of Beresford's resident and an award-winning saxophonist.

At the end of the special night you'll enjoy an overnight stay with breakfast at Balmer Lawn, a historic New Forest country house hotel, which was visited during World War I by King George V.
