We've teamed up with the Alton Towers Resort to give away a short break for you and three guests for the annual Halloween celebration of Scarefest. Taking place on 8 to 9, 15 to 16 and 21 to 31 October, two new scare mazes add to the spine-tingling selection of Scarefest attractions.

New for 2016, Altonville Mine Tours have re-opened for public tours to uncover the Legend of the Skin Snatchers. Discover the chilling tale of a warped family, who according to the legend covet the skin of the young and beautiful to make themselves more attractive.

House of Monsters invites young people to join an online vlogger, who has turned into somewhat of a modern day monster hunter, in his quest to a supposedly abandoned house to discover the truth about monsters.

Other live mazes include the return of the hugely popular 'Sub Species: The End Games', a post-apocalyptic experience where a sewer dwelling community have been infested by a species from another world, and 'Terror of the Towers: What Lies Within', which will take you through the undiscovered passageways of gothic towers to discover the dark secrets that await you.

After dark, Alton Towers Resort will also become home to two Scare Zones, Dark Apocalypse and Freak Show, each filled with their own free-roaming, gruesome and truly chilling residents.

With frightening family fun and many spine-chilling attractions open until 9pm, there are lots of Halloween horrors to be enjoyed by everyone. For brave young visitors there's a chance to learn how to spook with Phil & Franklyn's Ghoul School then meet up with the famous freaky four for lots more Halloween excitement.

The winner and their family or friends will enjoy all the spooks of Scarefest, as well as an overnight stay in one of the Resort's themed hotels or a Woodland Lodges in the Enchanted Village with two days in the Theme Park.
