Mother and grandmother of baby girl mauled to death by dog face sentencing

The mother and grandmother of a six-month-old baby who was mauled to death by a dog are due to be sentenced later.

Molly Mae Wotherspoon died after an American pit bull attacked her in Daventry on October 3 2014.

Claire Riley, Molly Mae's mother, pleaded guilty to owning a dangerously out of control dog at a previous court hearing.

The 23-year-old, of Northampton, will appear for sentencing at the town's Crown Court alongside 55-year-old Susan Aucott, also of Northampton, who admitted being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog.
