A Londoner has listed a tent in his garden on Airbnb for those who fancy sleeping under the stars in the capital.

The tent, which has been pitched as an "eco-home" with a "home office" costs £30 a night, or £700 a month, although there is the cheaper option without the "live/workspace" which comes in at £10 a night or £425 a night.

It is described as a "large tent in quiet leafy zone two London garden" and boasts a "fruit bearing apple tree".

The holiday let, in Newham, also comes with a hammock and guests can used the kitchen and bathroom in the owner's property.

"My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and birdwatchers," the advert reads.

It says: "Enjoy the cool quiet of a leafy London back garden, complete with fruit bearing apple tree & barbecue.

"Full access to kitchen and bathroom in-house is included.

"There is a hammock in the garden you can lie in & watch the wind gently ruffling the tree leaves, a very soothing experience.

"You may also enjoy a visit from our local neighbourhood fox. You'll sleep well in the fresh air."

One reviewer Mutsumi, from Japan, wrote: "We stayed for one week. There was just a tent and mattress. Tent was a little bit small for two people. But people who lived there were good people. For the person who is used to the outdoor, it is recommended."
