The best museums in the world 2016

TripAdvisor has just announced the best museums in the world in their Traveller's Choice awards.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has taken the top spot for the second year running.

The museum is one of the most famous in the Big Apple and is home to a wide range of collections including everything from Egyptian art to musical instruments.

The British Museum in London not only topped the list for the UK's best museums but it also made it into the global top ten in eighth place.

It was the first national public museum in the world and is home to the famous Rosetta Stone.

It wasn't the only European museum to make it into the global list. The Musee D'Orsay in Paris and Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid both feature too as well as the Vasa Museum in Stockholm.
