The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will continue their drive to raise awareness about mental health with a visit to a £3.2 million newly revamped centre for youngsters.

William and Kate are set to tour the facilities of national charity Youthscape in Bute Mills, Luton, on Wednesday.

Over the past year, the royal couple have focused much of their public work on promoting the emotional and psychological wellbeing of children, teenagers, and adults.

Founded in 1993, Youthscape specialises in the development of young people's social, emotional and spiritual development.

On their visit they will also meet staff from CHUMS, a mental health and emotional wellbeing service for children and young people, to discuss how they support those affected by suicide.

Their day of engagements in Bedfordshire is also set to feature a visit to Keech Hospice Care where they will tour the child and adult facilities.

To mark 25 years of the hospice, the Cambridges will unveil a commemorative plaque and cut a cake before heading to company, Hayward Tyler, where they will open a new £20 million centre of excellence for motor manufacture.

The group is one of the UK's oldest engineering companies and a worldwide market leader in the manufacture of specialised pumps and motors - and has provided propulsion units and pumps to all of the Royal Navy submarine fleet.

William and Kate will explore the new development, walk the production line and meet graduates, apprentices and staff members, before presenting the business with the Queen's Award for Enterprise.

The accolade was given to the group in April 2016 for International Trade - with more than 80% of its revenues coming from export to countries such as China, India, South Africa, the US and Australia.
