Gucci Mane's transformation since being released from prison in July has been one of hip hop's most talked about stories this year.
The Atlanta rapper emerged newly slimmed down, no longer indulging in alcohol or drugs, and proceeded to record a critically acclaimed album in just six days. Through his Snapchat and Instagram channels Guwop gives us a peek into his daily life post-prison (though he's still on house arrest) which sees him embracing super foods and hitting the gym with the help of girlfriend Keyshia Ka'oir.
Gucci spoke to Vogue about the recent changes he's made to his life, saying: "Before I was incarcerated, I had gotten so overweight that I couldn't fit into any of the clothes I wanted to wear. So with the time I was away, I decided I was going to lose weight so I could be able to wear all the brands that I really like."
Speaking on fashion in hip hop more widely, and specifically about some of the artists featured on Everybody Looking, Gucci got quite excited: "I love how people are just taking risks, and I love how they're embracing the high-end designers. There's a more fitted, grown, mature look now.
"I love the way the young kids take chances with what they wear. Fashion is a part of your personality -- it's an extension of yourself. You can't really get more personal than what you choose to put on. You can learn so much about a person when you see how they present themselves to the world."
The biggest story following Gucci's release has been his weight loss. Gucci lost so much weight people actually thought he might have been cloned, as part of some grand conspiracy - rumours that took on such a life Gucci actually responded to them (although more just fanned the flames).
The 36-year-old said he now trains six days a week, which consists of boxing, weights and lots of cardio. "I feel like working out humbles me. I used to live a life of excess, greed and gluttony. Now I've learned to challenge myself," he said.
