Bear swims laps in family pool

Police in California received an unusual call for help recently when a member of public rang to say there was a bear taking a dip in their pool.

They arrived at the property to find the bear casually floating around in the pool, totally oblivious to being watched.

At one point the bear even swam over to the edge of the pool and rested against the side.

Arcadia Police shared a post on Facebook saying residents should be 'bear aware' as Arcadia is on the border of a national park.

They encouraged people to keep their rubbish bins secure and to call the authorities if they spot a bear.
