Ever since Gal was cast as Wonder Woman, her solo film has been eagerly anticipated.
The origin film tells the story of the Amazon princess Diana, and how she was transformed into the legendary superhero.
She is determined to protect the human world, even though her people have declared that man is not "worth it".
Gal said: "We're going to see her coming of age. The entire history, what's her mission."
Chris Pine, who plays Wonder Woman's love interest Steve Trevor, has said: "Telling a story like this now is pivotal and important, the story of a very powerful woman."
Movie-goers got a taste of Gal playing the role in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, but Wonder Woman itself will be released in the summer of 2017.
