Truck driver tries to slow floodwaters with his lorry

A valiant truck driver was spotted sacrificing his lorry in an attempt to slow raging floodwaters.

Footage of the fearless feat was recorded by an onlooker, and shows the truck, loaded full of rocks, careering into the flood, which began when a levee burst.
