Brooklyn Beckham, the 17-year-old son of David and Victoria Beckham, has landed a £100k job to star in an advertisement for Huawei, a Chinese mobile phone company.

A source told The Sun: "Huawei went for Brooklyn because he's young, well-presented and seen as a good role model for kids his age."

"He's got millions of social media followers and this is a good way to engage a load of youngsters.

"People will think he's only got this job because of his rich parents, but he doesn't take anything for granted."

According to the Daily Mail, Brooklyn filmed the advert on Tuesday which suggests it may have taken place in the United States given that the Beckham's eldest was seen visiting his actress girlfriend Chloe Grace Moretz in Los Angeles.

This isn't the first time Brooklyn has hit the headlines in 2016. The keen photographer received plenty of press and public attention when he was hired to shoot a new campaign for fashion brand, Burberry.

Many professional photographers denounced the decision with Chris Floyd telling the Guardian: "David and Victoria Beckham represent sheer willpower and graft."

"Especially her, she's climbed that mountain all by herself. They represent hard work and then their 16-year-old year son comes along and it's sheer nepotism."

"He hasn't done it from hard work, which is counter-intuitive to what his parents represent."
