Is this an alien's undersea pyramid visible on Google Earth?

Aliens are being credited with the creation of an 8.5-mile-wide pyramid believed to be on the ocean floor near Mexico.

The area in question was discovered via Google Earth by UFO hunter Marcelo Igazusta from Argentina.

Though the only thing visible is a surface variation, many speculate a massive spaceship or alien base station exists below.

Google Earth appears to be becoming an increasingly popular research tool for theorists who specialise in the extraterrestrial and supernatural.

Just weeks ago, it proved instrumental in the finding of a Kraken, the massive squid infamous for pulling large ships to the bottom of the sea, sailors and all.

In February of this year what appeared to be a plane was spotted at the bottom of a lake in the USA on Google Earth.

While local officials were confused, Google offered an explanation for the bizarre sight.

Susan Cadrecha said: "In short: each satellite image you see on the map is actually a compilation of several images."

She added: "Fast-moving objects like planes often show up in only one of the many images we use for a given area. When this happens, faint remnants of the fast-moving object can sometimes be seen."
