Little girl stops wild elephant in its tracks

Amazing footage has emerged from Sri Lanka appearing to show a little girl stopping a wild elephant in its tracks and forcing it to retreat.

The video, filmed earlier this month, shows the girl standing her ground with her arm outstretched as the elephant marches towards her on a road.

Astonishingly, despite the elephant's massive size, it seems intimidated by the confident little girl.

Instead of continuing on down the road towards the little girl, the elephant turns around and runs away into the bushes.

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger wasn't quite as lucky when he was faced with an elephant recently.

The former Governor of California shared a video online of a large elephant racing towards the safari truck he was sat in in South Africa - luckily no one was hurt in the incident!
