Jules Plisson has been named as France captain for the first Test against Argentina on Sunday.
The Stade Francais fly-half will have the honour of leading his country in the absence of Guilhem Guirado, who will be in action for Toulon against Montpellier in the Top 14 semi-final this weekend.
Les Bleus head coach Guy Noves has included seven debutants in the side to take on the Pumas in Tucuman.
Wing Xavier Mignot, centre Julien Rey and scrum-half Baptiste Serin get the nod to make their bows in the opening game in the two-match series.
There will also be first international appearances for number eight Kevin Gourdon, second row William Demotte, lock Julien Le Devedec and hooker Remi Bonfils.
