Man rescues baby bird that the cat dragged in

When a neighbour's cat brought home a tiny and helpless baby bird, this man (who is apparently a bird whisperer) tried to nurse him back to health.

The baby bird, whom he christened 'Pete', refused to eat and was stone cold after being torn away from his nest.

He popped Pete into the incubator, and hatched (pun fully intended) a plan to get the little guy to eat.

He came up with a genius tactic: He recorded a bird chirruping in a nearby birdhouse, and then played the recording to Pete. Pete immediately associated the bird song with being fed, and opened his mouth wide to eat.

So far he seems to be making great progress...
