Taylor Swift spending £377,00 on apartment renovations

Taylor Swift is shaking off the dust after her recent breakup with Calvin Harris, and is planning major renovations to her stylish TriBeCa penthouse.

According to Page Six, the New York Department of Building has approved two permits allowing massive structural changes to the sixth floor and the building's penthouse, which Taylor calls home.

The change up isn't cheap, and will cost a whopping $535,000 (£377,089).

TriBeCa is a popular area of Lower Manhattan and the name is an amalgamation of Triangle Below Canal Street. According to Trulia the average property price in this area is $3,700,000 (£2,607,911).

While renovations are taking place, Taylor plans to rent a $40,000 (£28,193) a month apartment in the West village.

According to Page Six, Swift's rented house has four floors, a private garage, indoor pool and five bedrooms.

It's understood that the renovations to the hitmaker's apartment are due to take around a year.
