Jules Bianchi's family launch legal proceedings against FIA

Updated

Jules Bianchi's family today announced they are taking legal action against the Formula One Group, the FIA and the Marussia race team after the 25-year-old's fatal accident at the Japanese Grand Prix in 2014.

Lawyers representing the driver's father, Philippe Bianchi, say a series of errors led to the Frenchman's death. His family are also challenging a report said that Bianchi failed to slow down properly while under double yellow flags, which were deployed in the rain-soaked race.
