Woman dies after fall down 15-metre-deep well

A woman has died after falling down a well at her home.

The incident happened at a house in Church Street, Tetbury, Gloucestershire, and was reported to police at 5.45pm on Saturday.

It is believed the 58-year-old woman may have fallen down the well around two hours earlier.

A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police said: "Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics were also called to the scene and fire officers recovered the victim's body down the 15-metre-deep well.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious. The woman's next of kin and the coroner have been informed."
