Sharon Osbourne reveals she's bisexual and wishes she'd explored a same-sex relationship

Updated:

Sharon Osbourne has said she wishes she had explored a same-sex romance before marrying rocker husband Ozzy Osbourne.

The 63-year-old TV star made the revelation about her bisexuality on US daytime show The Talk, which is similar to ITV's Loose Women, on Wednesday, where she is one of the panellists alongside series creator Sara Gilbert.

Sara, who starred in sitcom Roseanne and is gay, took part in the discussion as Sharon Osbourne said: "I always think everybody is gay - so am I," she said.

But the former judge of The X Factor is not going to explore that side of her sexuality. She has been married to the Black Sabbath star since 1982 and they have three children.

She added: "I am not a little bit gay, I am extremely interested in the fact of what I missed out on. But it is too late now."

When the chat moved on, with a fellow panellist talking about being attracted to women, Sharon said: "There is nothing wrong with that."

She also admitted that people ask her about Simon Cowell's sexuality. "He does have a very gay-ish - which I think is fabulous - air about him," she joked.

Sharon's revelation will not come as a huge surprise as the London-born star has long been celebrated for her frankness and unconventionality.

Kim Kardashian may have started a naked selfie trend, but Sharon took it to another level. Taking her cue from the now very famous picture posted by Kim, the star of reality show The Osbournes posted her own to Twitter.

She said on The Talk: "It's not age appropriate for a 63-year-old to do that, however I talked myself into it and I did it. I must say, I did feel a bit liberated. I felt empowered to the fact that this is probably going to be the skinniest that I'll ever be in my life."

Sharon has been at the centre of speculation linking her with a return to the judging panel of ITV's The X Factor.
