Introducing the McDonald's of the future where you can customise your own burger and get all-you-can-eat fries

A McDonald's restaurant where you can customise your burger, order all-you-can-eat French fries and create your own dessert is due to open this summer.

It might sound like the stuff of dreams, but this 'McDonald's of the Future' is real, and even has an interactive play area and a private party room.

What's the catch? This tantalising Maccy D's is about to open in Missouri, US. But wouldn't it be great if a similar format made it across the pond?

Franchisee Chris Habiger is rebuilding the restaurant at 3504 N. Belt Hwy, St Josephs, reports St Joseph's News-Press.

The most exciting feature seems to be kiosks "allowing you to customise you order however you like" and an ice cream machine. Oh and the ever-so-tempting all-you-can-eat fries.

Habiger told the news website: "There really are hundreds of different choices to build the burger of your dreams. Once you've placed your order, you can find your seat because we'll bring it out to you."

According to the St Joe's McDonald's Facebook page the 'McDonald's of the Future' will include a private party room, 'state-of-the-art' play place, table-side service, customised burgers and chicken sandwiches along with 'innovative' entertainment for kids. It is due to open in July.
