Former Castleford Tigers and Cronulla Sharks half-back Ryan McGoldrick has put himself up for auction as an "antique player" on Ebay in a bid to find a new club.
McGoldrick is a free agent after the Lower Plains Magpies side he was due to captain this season failed to get enough players to field a side.
The 35-year-old Australian is keen to play on and has come up with an alternative approach to finding a new club.
McGoldrick's advert states: "You are bidding for the playing services of a used (234 games) but well maintained rugby league player. Played a variety of positions but now most probably suited to the halves.
"I have had 6 previous owners (Cronulla Sharks, New South Wales Waratahs, Castleford Tigers, Hull FC, Salford City Reds and DPC Roosters) and am now looking for a new owner. I have been serviced regularly and come with a full service history.
"Am currently based in the Northern Rivers region of NSW but as postage and housing is at buyers expense relocation is possible.
"So the bad bits.... In the past I have been known to not see eye to eye with the odd referee and my judiciary history is quite extensive, however as I have gotten older those problems are now behind me.
"Oh and the game payment does not include after match refreshments."
