Turtle first ever to receive decompression treatment (video)
Tucker the Sea Turtle was rescued from the wild to undergo a series of decompression treatments in order to cure a disease that prevents the little guy from submerging.
Turtles need to be able to submerge to escape boats, search for food, and avoid natural predators.
It is thought that if a decompression chamber can heal a diver from a similar condition, perhaps Tucker will be cured of a problem that causes internal gas bubbles causing the undesired buoyancy effect.
