Easter means all sorts of different things to different people. For some it's a season of renewal; for some it's all about the chocolate; for others its about relaxing with friends; and for millions more it's about entertaining over-tired over-sugared children. However, you celebrate Easter, we have a handful of freebies to help you do it for less.

Free chocolate
Let's start with the big one - free chocolate. This is another freebie for those on the O2 phone network - through the Priority app. It's another reminder that it's worth getting your hands on a pay-as-you-go O2 SIM, so you can take advantage for nothing.

This deal offers a free 60g milk or white chocolate Harry Hopalot from Thorntons. The deal runs until 25th March, but the users of HotUKdeals.com highlight that stores often run out before the deal ends - so it's worth getting yours sooner rather than later.

Free kids' activity pack
If the kids have bought into Kung Fu Panda 3, and want every possible tie-in, you can get one for free because Wagamama is offering a free downloadable activity pack. It's the kind of thing you usually get to entertain them with while you eat in the restaurant, but this time you can keep them entertained with it at home - before feeding them a bowl of noodles that costs pennies. You can also enter a competition to win a family trip to Edinburgh Zoo, to see the real life pandas (Kung Fu probably not included).

Free Easter egg Hunts
Every year the National Trust hosts Cadbury's Easter egg hunts across its properties. If you're a member, Playpennies points out that it's worth checking what each individual property is offering, because some aren't charging any extra for the hunt - such as Dunham Massey. If you're not a member, it's worth hunting out properties where entrance is free and the hunt is relatively cheap, like Marsden Moor Estate, where it costs £2. It's certainly cheaper and more impressive than hosting a hunt of your own in the back garden.

'Free' bottomless pies
MagicFreebies.co.uk has spotted the ultimate deal for pie lovers at Tesco. Admittedly it starts with an outlay, because you'll need to spend £3.50 on a Higgedy pie. However, from then on your pies are free. Inside the box you'll find a voucher for a free pie, so you can pop back to Tesco to pick up your freebie. Inside that box you'll find another voucher, so you can just keep going until you're full - or your freezer is.

Free cocktail
Finally, for those who plan to relax with friends this Easter, then there's still chance to take advantage of the March freebie from Pitcher and Piano. Just register for newsletters, and in the latest edition you'll see a voucher for a free Jameson Irish Mule cocktail or a free bottle of Heineken. The cocktail is worth about £8, so it's a great freebie. You just need to download the code, and show it to staff before 31 March. If you're not in the market for booze, you can get a free soft drink instead, and you don't need to buy anything else in order to qualify.
