Brighton was recently named as one of TripAdvisor's top destinations on the rise for 2016, with a reported booking increase of 60 per cent year-on-year.

This lovely seaside town has been a popular getaway destination for Brits since the Victorian era and the classic English seaside resort is only an hour south of London by train.

With its long pebbly beach, a traditional seaside pier packed with rides and amusement arcades, and quirky shopping lanes, the coastal city, which also has one of Europe's largest marinas, is renowned for its laid-back atmosphere, diverse communities and large LGBT population.
