Spice Girls reunion 'wouldn't be the same' as four piece, warns Emma Bunton

A Spice Girls anniversary reunion "wouldn't be the same" unless all five members agree to join, Emma Bunton has said.

The 40-year-old mother-of-two, dubbed "Baby Spice" during her time in the 90s girl band, admits the singers have discussed plans to mark their two decades in music.

The chart-topping band - whose members also included Geri Horner, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Victoria Beckham - have not performed together on stage since the London Olympics in 2012, although rumours of a new tour coinciding with the anniversary of the release of Wannabe, the debut single that catapulted them to stardom in November 1996, linger.

In an interview with The Sun On Sunday's Fabulous magazine, the Heart FM DJ and television presenter refused to rule out the possibility of the five-piece sharing a stage again.

She said: "It is being discussed, and I think it's something that we would like to do.

"It's just getting everything together and being organised, which is harder now. You know, having children and all of us have our own careers... but we would like to do something.

"It would be a shame if it passed without doing anything - we all definitely want to celebrate it, it's just we don't know which way yet."

There has been speculation that Beckham - now an established fashion designer and mother-of-four with former England football captain David - would resist calls for the band to reunite.

Bunton, who has enjoyed chart success as a solo artist and is engaged to long-time partner Jade Jones from 90s boy band Damage, said: "I actually spoke to her just the other day. It's funny because people think that every time we speak that's all we talk about, but it's not I'm afraid.

"Obviously it would be very different doing it as a four, and it wouldn't be the same. But we all speak and we know that Victoria is so supportive - always has been and always will be."
