Is this the happiest seal ever? A lucky photographer snapped the moment a grey seal appeared to be having a laugh on a Swedish island.

Amateur wildlife photographer Martin Thoma, from Germany, captured the chuckling seal cracking up.

The chortling grey seal was beside himself with laughter as he lapped up the sunshine on a rock in the clear blue ocean.

Last year, a hilarious holiday video emerged showing a relaxed seal sunbathing on a sun lounger at the beach.

The video was uploaded on Facebook by tourist Paul van Loock and showed the animal soaking up the sunshine just like any other holidaymaker.

It was shared by hundreds of thousands of social media users, with one commenting, "LOL awesome" and another writing: "Adorable!!! He looks so relaxed".
