The family of a woman thought to have been murdered at her home have paid tribute to a "loving mother, daughter and sister".

The body of Leanne Wall, 36, was discovered by police who were called to an address on Conway Avenue, Bury, just before 7.50am on Friday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Shortly after, a 39-year-old man was arrested on the hard shoulder of the M60 motorway on suspicion of murder.

He remains in custody for questioning.

A post-mortem examination took place on Saturday morning, the results of which are expected later.

In a statement, Ms Wall's family said she was a "loving mother, daughter and sister and a great friend to so many.

"Leanne was fun-loving and hard-working, she had a big heart and will be forever missed."
