A teenage girl has been sexually assaulted at knifepoint by a gang of boys aged as young as 14.

The 14-year-old victim was walking in Trelawney Avenue, Slough, Berkshire, at 8.10pm on Thursday when she was approached by the group of teenage boys.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Members of the group spoke to her before they sexually assaulted her over her clothing. One of the group produced what appeared to be a knife and threatened the victim. She was then able to run away from the group."

The offenders are aged between 14 and 16 years old and were wearing dark clothing with hoods and coverings over their faces.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Groenen said: "This was a concerning incident in which a group of teenage boys approached a girl who was walking alone before committing this offence.

"Detectives are working to identify offenders and I would like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, or anyone with any information about what happened, to speak to police. The victim is currently being supported by specially trained officers."
