Earnings report highlights 'clear gender divide'

Women are more likely than men to be underpaid, highlighting a "clear" gender divide, according to a new report.

Jobs site Adzuna said three out of five women could be earning less than their "market value", compared with two in five men.

Consultants, designers and charity workers are among the most underpaid staff, said the report.

Doug Monro, co-founder of Adzuna, said: "Adzuna's data shows average earnings amongst female employees to be 13% lower than their male counterparts, highlighting a clear and persistent gender divide in the UK labour market."
