Millions of drivers found to be avoiding motorway driving

A new survey has found that 22 per cent of the UK's 38 million drivers avoid using motorways because they are too scared to drive on them.

The research, conducted by the RAC, found that nearly 7 in 10 drivers avoid the motorway due to the speed that traffic travels at – which makes them feel more at risk of being in an accident.
