Are these the most unfortunate criminals ever?

Some crooks are masterminds, able to execute heists with precision and without leaving a trace, whereas others just don't seem to have what it takes.

So, here's a rundown of 10 particularly unfortunate criminals.

10. The Mayfair Porsche thief
This individual was caught on camera breaking into a beautiful, bright red Porsche convertible. But instead of trying to jimmy the lock on the car door or even breaking a window, this thief went to unusual efforts to make sure he made it into the vehicle. The man was seen slashing the convertible's canvas roof and entering the driver's seat from above. However, this thief's good luck ended there, as shortly afterwards he was seen exiting the vehicle the same way he got in, after being unable to start the car.

9. Winnie the Pooh joyrider
It took police in Belarus over two months to catch the man who hopped on a supermarket ride and steered the cartoon bear right out of the door. The suspect admitted he had done it but also added that he was drunk at the time and he subsequently had no idea where he had left the toy.

8. This guy's 'disguise'
While this person did think ahead enough to hide his face from the hotel surveillance system, his 'bag over the head' plan wasn't entirely foolproof. According to officials the alleged burglar had been pretty stealthy as he moved around the hallway, however at one point, for reasons unknown, he pulled off his disguise and looked straight into the camera.

7. Electricity bandit
Everybody needs to charge their phone from time to time, but this person has been accused of sneaking into a home to do so. Authorities say the invader slid beneath a guestroom bed and plugged four devices in. He was said to have been their for three days before the homeowner noticed and called the police.

6. Not-so-good-humoured heist
It's hard to tell from the surveillance video, but a suspect who made off with entire Good Humour freezer appears to think about actually buying a treat first, but after noticing that the store attendant was asleep, the footage shows the man gesturing obscenely at the camera before dragging the cart away.

5. A disarmed robber
This attempt to rob a CVS took a turn when the perpetrator reached the bag of money placed on the counter. As he went for the cash, the employee grabbed the man's BB gun. A fight ensued and although the suspect got away with the loot he was never able to reclaim the weapon.

4. An easily-deterred thief
A man is said to have walked into a Philadelphia Pet Smart shop, strolled up to the counter with a gun in hand and demanded all the money in the register. The sales assistant told him she couldn't open the cash drawer and the suspect quickly responded 'just kidding' before swiftly leaving the shop.

3. Convenience shop lifter
This woman entered a BP station in a wheelchair, but when it came time to pick items off the shelf she amazingly got up and walked around. She was arrested soon after, but the man she was with remained at large.

2. Foiled quick escape
Based on camera footage, a man seems to have entered a lift occupied by an elderly woman, cornered her in the small space and held her a knife point. However this thief's downfall came when the time it took him to steal the woman's handbag meant that the lift doors had closed behind him. He then had to ride the lift to the next floor with his victim before escaping rapidly.

Making any mistakes in a robbery that involves crashing through a glass door and hauling away an incredibly heavy machine doesn't bode well for success. This man made the same mistake twice - each time failing to properly hook up the chain connecting the automatic teller to the vehicle intended to drag it away. But instead of trying again, he just gave up!
