When Kristen Hartness and Jay Yontz bought a teacup pig as a pet, they were told that he would stay less than 20 pounds in weight.

But that didn't quite turn out to be true.

Within five years, Ziggy the pig had grown to be a whopping 250 pounds.

The couple had to say goodbye to their life in the Virgin Islands because they couldn't find anywhere to live that would let them keep the huge pig.

So they moved back to the USA, pig in tow, and bought a motor home and have been living on the road with their lovable pet ever since.

Talking about having to move house, Jay said: "We couldn't decide on a place to go so we figured we'd just go everywhere."

According to the Mail Online the couple had to fork out $15,000 to charter a private jet and fly Ziggy back to the States.

Speaking about life with a pig, Kristen said: "Pigs are just like having a five-year-old kid, they show all the emotions. They're sad, they're happy, they're mad."

Jay adds: "We always say he's like a four-year-old kid in a pig suit."

The couple base their extensive travels around Jay's work as a tennis court fitter.

But there are some limitations to their movements, as the couple say Ziggy is only truly happy when near water.

The couple have been to the Florida Keys, through Georgia and South Carolina and even made it to Yellowstone National Park with their pig.

Speaking of Ziggy, Kristen says: "He is the most handsome and beautiful soul that you've ever seen in your entire life."
