A 21-year-old punter has won over £300,000 on a £96 bet - after predicting the results of an incredible 15 football matches last weekend. The Derby County fan from Sheerness in Kent predicted a number of unlikely results - including Oxford United beating Premiership side Swansea, and Eastleigh managing a draw against Bolton Wanderers.

He has chosen to stay anonymous after winning £306,139.60 on the Coral Football Jackpot. This is a pool bet that accumulates each week if the jackpot hasn't been won - it had rolled over for 12 weeks. The lucky winner said he planned to help his dad out with his mortgage, and have a nice holiday.

Current bets

As Coral pointed out "It's never easy predicting 15 correct football results, especially on a FA Cup weekend where there are always a few shocks in there." If you don't fancy your chances, there are other events attracting huge bets at the moment.

Celebrity Big Brother is garnering its fair share of bets. There has been a flurry of bets on Gemma Collins to win, so Coral has cut the odds to 5-1. Scott Timlin remains the 3-1 favourite, while John Partridge and Darren Day are the 4-1 joint-second favourites. Nancy Dell'Olio is favourite for the chop.

Punters are always keen to bet on snow, and with the freezing weather approaching, it's an even more popular bet. Coral are currently offering 1-33 on snow in England this week, 1-3 on snow in London, and 16-1 on this being the coldest January on record.

Meanwhile, betting on The Voice has yet to take off, as the season is in its infancy. At the moment, Boy George and Ricky Wilson are joint favourites in the race to be winning mentor - followed by Will I Am and finally Paloma Faith.

Of course, as with all gambling, you should never put up any money you cannot afford to lose, because the only way to guarantee you won't be worse off as the result of a bet is to keep your cash in your pocket in the first place.
