Thames Valley murder probe police arrest man after stab death in Cippenham

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 48-year-old was reportedly stabbed to death at a house on Christmas Eve.

Police were called to an address in Cippenham, near Slough in Berkshire, at around 6.40pm on Christmas Eve.

The victim had reportedly suffered multiple knife wounds and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the property in Jellicoe Close.

A post-mortem will be carried out to determine the exact cause of death, according to police.

Thames Valley Police has launched a murder investigation and a 23-year-old man has been arrested and is currently in custody.

Senior Investigating Officer, Superintendent Nora Holford, said: "Although this is very shocking news for the community, I would urge them not to be alarmed, and we are working closely with them to reassure them."
