Many families look forward to waking up to a surprise on Christmas morning, though many people in Derbyshire were just as shocked a few days earlier.

Residents of New Street, New Mills woke to find out that their cars had been wrapped in their very own wooly jumpers after a night that saw temperatures drop as low as five degrees.
