'Fab-u-lous' Kellie scores first 40 in Strictly final

EastEnders' actress Kellie Bright has scored the first 40 of this series of Strictly Come Dancing.

After 13 weeks of routines, judge Craig Revel Horwood has finally awarded a 10 - and it has come in the grand final.

The first round of dances were selected by the panel.

Alongside partner Kevin Clifton, Bright performed her tango to You Really Got Me by The Kinks.

"It was truly fab-u-lous, darling!" Revel Horwood exclaimed.

Former ballerina Darcey Bussell said: "That was outstanding."

"Excuse the pun, but you've ironed out all the kinks," stated head judge Len Goodman.

Bruno Tonioli cried: "That is how you rock a tango!"

The Wanted's Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani, kicked off the BBC One ballroom show with a quickstep to My Generation.

However, the judging panel picked up on flaws in the dance they had requested.

"It was quick, it was slick. Couple of incidents here and there," said Goodman.

"The quality is so high, the tiny, little stumble spoiled the whole effect," stated Tonioli as McGuiness was awarded 36 points.

Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice performed their rumba to Writing's On The Wall.

The judges also awarded 36 points.

"Totally smitten by the sex kitten. A little issue with balance," said Tonioli.

Former ballerina Bussell told the soap star, "You delivered all the goods."

Broadcaster Katie Derham and Anton Du Beke are fancied to finish in fourth place.

The judges requested their quickstep to classic Hollywood tune, 42nd Street.

"You moved so fast, you could have ended up on 43rd Street!" cried Goodman as Derham earned 31 points.

In the first of tonight's two live shows hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the fab four perform two dances.

At the start of the results show at 9pm, the fourth-placed pair will be eliminated.

The remaining three will then perform their third dance.

The voting lines will reopen for the public to choose their winner.
