25-year-old hunted after woman found dead in Clacton house

Police have launched a manhunt after a woman was found dead in a house.

Essex Police were called to Old Road in Clacton just after 10.50am after concerns were raised for the welfare of a resident.

They found the woman, believed to be aged in her late 50s, dead inside.

The force said it is urgently trying to trace Scott Hilling, 25, and advised members of the public not to approach him.

He is 5ft 6in and has the word "Hillen" tattooed on his neck and a tattoo of a cross on his left hand.

A police spokesman said: "A post-mortem to establish the cause of death has not yet taken place but police believe she was killed.

"A forensic examination of the scene is currently under way.

"Other officers are also carrying out house-to-house inquiries and requesting CCTV footage from any nearby commercial and residential properties."
