Brian Friedman is second I'm A Celebrity star to leave the jungle

Brian Friedman has become the second I'm A Celebrity contestant to be sent home after a tumultuous day in the jungle.

The creative director of The X Factor, 38, was unruffled by his exit after 17 days in camp, telling fellow contestants: "(Now) I get to eat!"

He told presenters Ant and Dec he had suspected before the vote was announced that he might be on his way out, saying: "Something in me said, pack yourself up and get ready to go home."

He had struck up a rapport with Lady Colin Campbell, who was at the centre of more conflict.

She said of fellow contestant Tony Hadley, who is frontman of the band Spandau Ballet: "He is a fat slob."

Duncan Bannatyne asked Vicky Pattison and Ferne McCann what they thought about the way she spoke to Hadley.

McCann said: "I thought it was pretty disgusting. I honestly don't think that she's ever really apologised for her behaviour."

Walking down to wash clothes with Jorgie Porter, Yvette Fielding moaned: "I'm so hungry now, I'm starving, I'm light headed all the time, I hate the water, the arguments are pissing me off, it's just horrid."

Hadley and Bannatyne between them got nine stars in the trial. Bannatyne had to earn Hadley time by releasing tokens as he was dunked in water by his feet.

Hadley then had to get into a Perspex box at the bottom of a tank and reach into rooms full of lizards and crustaceans to release as many stars as he could.

The Dragon's Den entrepreneur emerged with a black eye. "Duncan looks like he's gone 10 rounds with Chris Eubank. Black eye, puffy red face and it looks to me like his nose took a knock also," said Pattison.

McCann and Porter had been taking part in the Dingo Dollar challenge Tunnel Vision when a storm broke out above them and the health and safety crew took them to shelter.

As they could not complete the challenge, producers allowed them to go to the Outback Shack and try to win a snack for their fellow celebrities.

The question was what percentage of Brits are able to remember all the names of their sexual partners - 78% or 64%.

The camp mates answered 64% correctly which meant the women could bring back bread, butter and jam to the camp.

Ex-footballer Kieron Dyer, 36, told how as a 23-year-old he had crashed his Ferrari into Newcastle's Tyne Bridge.

He said: "All of a sudden some guys started dragging me out of the car and told me to run for it as they thought I'd been drinking. They said: 'Run, run, run, we'll take the rap for you, we'll say we stole your car.'

"That's how loyal Geordies are. I told them I hadn't been drinking, and then the police and ambulance turn up and it's embarrassing."

Crocodile, wallaby and buffalo sausages were served for dinner.
