Passed your driving test first time? You're a bad driver!

Well, that's according to the latest research from LV= car insurance.

The first driving tests - taken back in 1935 - saw a 63 per cent success rate. Today, however, that figure has dropped to 47 per cent, but an extra attempt at the test may improve your chances on the road.

An LV= study now suggests that first-time passers are actually worse drivers. The insurers study instead shows that third-time passers are the safest on the road, as well as less likely to be pulled over for drink-driving or dangerous driving.
